IRAS Series #2

Outside Reading #2

The second article from the IRAS is titled "What I Regard as Sacred" by Anindita N. Balselv. She poses questions regarding the intimacy of a sacred place. Such as "Had this not been the case, why would the ‘enlightened ones’ seek to spread to others the intimate message which is communicated/revealed especially to them and share their own sense of the sacred with such extraordinary zeal?" The strike that one feels after encountering a sacred place, according to Balselv, should not be kept private and should be discussed with others to further examine it. In conclusion, the sacred is felt in relation to some sort of metaphysics.
