The Lion's Bridge

Lion's Bridge/Noland Trail:
As we walked through Lions Bridge and the Noland Trail, I tried my best to take everything in and really notice the small things we passed. One thing that really stood out to me was the trail itself. As we walked throughout part of the trail, I noticed how the trail was very rocky and wasn't as smooth as I had expected. There was plenty of large sticks and pieces of roots sticking up through the ground and making it easy to trip over. Hundreds of people a day either walk or run the Noland Trail and I'm sure that many have fallen over or tripped on one of these big roots or sticks. This to me shows that people respect the trail and don't want to disturb any of the nature there and I respect that. While we were walking on the trail it was pretty loud with everyone talking and running by, but for some reason I got a very quiet and peaceful feel from it. It almost felt like I was able to communicate with the trail itself and with the nature from the trail. At one point during the trail walk I just stood there and closed my eyes and felt very safe and secure and connected with the nature. I was amazed by this feeling.
