AT Documentary
December 03, 2019
Earlier on in the semester we watched a documentary that these three college students made about their own journey on the Appalachian Trail (AT). The three guys had done many hikes before, so they knew how to correctly prepare for this upcoming AT hike they were going to embark on. They were filled with excitement and just wanted to go ahead and get out on the trail. After a few days on the trail, they ended up having to stop and go back home because the weather had gotten horrible and they were all getting sick. One of the guys went to the doctor after they headed home and he ended up having the flu, so it was good that they had decided to come home and not finish the trail at that time. After a few weeks of rest and research, they decided to pack their bags up again and start the trail once again, this time they were able to finish it. I have always loved hiking, so the thought of hiking the AT excites me to no end. I hope to one day have the time and materials to hike the trail myself and maybe even document my experience.
