Lions Bridge #1 - Kayla Bowles

Standing at the Lion's Bridge watching the baby fish swim against the current catches my attention. There are hundreds maybe thousands swimming against the current just to get food. It catches my attention, because it confuses me and makes sense at the same time. I understand the fish do it, because the lake flushes out into the ocean with food for them. But at the same time I think that there must be some other way for them to get food without swimming against the current all day. Then I begin to compare this to everyday life. Sometimes we get stuck doing things with everyone else, but there must be an easier way to do things. Obviously at some point the baby fish realize there are other places to eat because there aren't any bigger fish there. So as we grow up and make our own ways through life we notice just like the baby fish that there are different ways to do things. And that is how people are able to find new things, and things are created.
