Outside reading #3: trail journal

Trail Journal reading-
Dennis Chapman, pockets, writes about his age as a part of his experience when walking the Appalachian Trail. He writes that he has taken up hiking as a way to escape the chaos of the world he lives in and the modern world pressure of a lifelong career. He finds accomplishment when he reaches the end of a trail and it is this satisfaction that makes him come back to hike the trail over and over. During his hikes, he appreciates nature more and the sense of adventure gives him a sense of youth again, referring back to his days of running.
