Pu Tuo Shan, China
Pu Tuo Shan, China is one of the largest tourist sites of the country, however, it also houses some of the most important spiritual sites. For example, on Pu Tuo Shan Mountain resides Chao Yindong, the spiritual site where those self-same letters are written. It was a place where the followers of Qing Emperor Kangxi went to pray for him, and true to the Chinese way, they're prayers made it sacred. Interestingly enough, the idea that a place choses the person, and not the other way around is a limited aspect of the locations of worship in China. There is a belief that a place or shrine will be imbued with the prayers of those who go there, and develop its own sacred lifeform.
