Walking Through The Woods

I very much enjoy going for walks, and doing it through the woods is very peaceful for me. It often leads to deep reflection, and I think it has to do with the idea of liminality. For me, it seems as though when you enter the woods, you are also leaving the "world", so to speak. When we took the class trip to the Noland trail, I had a very similar thought process, however, it was a little bit different than what I normally experience. Partially because there were others with me. In my opinion, having too many people there at once can break the reverie of the place. While we were there though, I found that talking about the woods as its own being was interesting. Looking at all of the different habitats and plants that had their "home" along the trail made the experience more alive in a way.
